I've Had Choices

We make them every day, every minute. Some are unconscious, some deliberate; some big, some small.

Our lives are filled with choices: what to eat, what to wear, what to do, who to call {Ghostbusters, obviously}.

Who we are is the result of a lifetime of choices. Every decision, every situation helps form who we’ve become. So, if you regret something you’ve done, that means you’re unhappy with whom you are now.

I made up my mind years ago to refuse regret admittance into my life. Regret is banned from my existence. There may be events that make me cringe to remember, but they are part of who I am. & I like who I am ~ ill-advised choices & all ~ & wouldn’t change a thing.

If I had a regret, if I really thought about it, the only things I regret are the things I DIDN'T do. Those are the things I wish I could go back & change. Take a chance, do some of the crazy things I was too scared to try.

But I guess if I follow my own logic, those choices also shaped the person I am.

Life is too short. It’s too short for many things: friends who suck the life out of you, holding grudges, worrying about the future, & regrets.

Remove all that stuff & things will definitely go smoother.

Easier said than done.

Wise words!
Wish I could live up to them but as you say it's easier said than done.
