Saturday night last weekend was a very special day for PK & moi. We took in {willingly on both our parts} the stunning spectacle that is "Mamma Mia" in Stoon.
I can't say enough about this show. The costumes, the characters, the story-line, & oh, yes, the music. Being an ABBA fan from waaaaay back, I loved the music. "The Winner Takes It All", with all it's personal connotations for ABBA, made me tear up as it always does.
Surprisingly, there were a few of the songs I did not know. Hadn't ever heard! I guess I should dust of my old albums & give them a listen again.
My favourite costumes were the "Super Trooper" super-galactic cheerleader outfits pictured below.
I knew the show was good when Puffy turned to me at intermission & said "I'm glad I came with you".
High praise indeed.
