When commenting on a blog post, make sure your tone can be understood through the words. Otherwise, don't be surprised when your motive is misconstrued.
I made a comment on the post of a blog that I enjoy reading & I'm thinking that the tongue-in-cheek intent behind the comment might not be clear. Or evident at all in the words.
Email, instant messaging, blog comments all have this flaw in common. If you are unfamiliar with someone's sense of humour, or the way in which they talk, much can be interpreted negatively when no insult is intended.
Something for me to work on.

ooh ooh ooh! Who did you offend? Who did you offend?
I do this all the time. Therefore I have restricted myself to VERY RARELY commenting on blogs anymore. Some folks just aren't terribly friendly. Or I end up feeling like I'm trying to hang out with the cool kids. Not a good feeling.
You'll never upset me!
My sense of humour is rather dry,it is a good job my hubby has the same! Maybes good for the world we dont go out much! LOL!
Hi Wilma!
I have a very special AWARD for you on my blog, it's given with love & after serious consideration.
There is a tag attached but that was an after thought.
Love,
Blue
Well, I may have called someone's friend a "classless whore".
That's okay, isn't it?
