Here I go, off to work another day in the salt mine. Hopefully, the weather will hold, & I will be able to get a few days in next week. The ol' holiday fund is looking a mite bare & I needs to fill it up!
FancyPants is coming for the weekend. We're planning on some movies, some chips, some beer, some lying around, & I plan on talking her into helping me make salsa! That's right, boys & girls, I've got another batch to make. Just bought 25 lbs of tomatoes, 10 lbs of jalapeno peppers & 10 lbs of hot yellow peppers. This batch is going to be smokin'!
Our theatre meeting went well last night. At least, I think it did. I'm always hit with doubts when we present a play to the group. Is it as good as I think it is? Are they just doing this to be nice to us? Why isn't anyone laughing? Is my fly down? Oh, wait, I was wearing lounge pants. Never mind.
Do all creative people go through this? Are there some out there who are so utterly & completely convinced of their brilliance that they just exude confidence out of their pores like sweat so that everyone is hypnotized into believing they are great? Please tell me I'm not the only one wracked with uncertainty. I always feel like I'm leading them astray with some crap that in a moment of crack-snorting I thought was genius.
