LA 2007 ~ Eating

I love food. Anyone who knows me knows this is true. That is why I have such a hard time with my restrictive diet {for health reasons ~ won't go into that right now, we don't have all day} & fall off of it all the time. With that in mind, I thought I would share some of our food stories.

This trip included some of the most amazing food evah! Some adventurous eating. Some old favourites.

First up ~ old favourites. Clafoutis Restaurant, located at 8630 W Sunset Blvd, just a few blocks from our hotel. Our waitress Sarah was working again this trip & she remembered us. Well, mostly she looks at the table, spots Peanut & says "You guys are back! How's Canada?" Just imagine how many people she serves in a year at a stylish restaurant right on Sunset Blvd. Yet, she remembers us. The food, as always, was good. This year I did not have the risotto & I've been kicking myself ever since cuz it is REALLY good. We sat on the sidewalk {at a table, don't get crazy} had a few cocktails, ate, & watched the people walk by.

Adventurous eating. Farmer's Market at Fairfax & 3rd. We ate at the Pampas Grill where you pay by the weight of your food! I managed to eat almost $5.75 worth of whatever I ordered {can't remember}. What a great concept.

Most Amazing Food Evah! Spago Beverly Hills at 176 N Canon Dr. I seriously cannot even describe for you how freekin' amazing this food was. But I will show you.

Don't ask me what we ate cuz I can't remember. All I know is that angels flew down from Heaven with plates of food & hand-fed us stuff that is not available on Earth. No way, no how. It was the most amazing ambrosia I have ever put in my mouth. Wolfgang Puck is a freakin' genius. Nay, super-genius! If you ever go to LA, you MUST go. We made online reservations about 3 weeks before the date, & had no problem.
