I love music, and I love Canada. So naturally, I would combine my two loves into this week's Top 6. Here they are, in no particular order:
6. Harlequin
5. Streetheart
4. Prism
3. Honeymoon Suite
2. Loverboy
1. Age of Electric
You may notice that most are from the 80's. Well, I can't help it. I'm an 80's girl and always will be. I don't want to go back to the 80's, I don't want to be the age I was in the 80's, I don't want the hair ~ well, maybe a little cuz it looked SO GOOD! I couldn't afford the hairspray though, let's be honest. That Aqua Net ran me up a pretty hefty bill back in the day. I just really connected with the music, movies and TV shows of the decade, and they will always hold a special place in my heart (does anyone have a tissue?).
I guess the question is : who didn't think that those Molly Ringwald films were really about them? Hmmm? Hmmm? Anybody? Bueller? That's what I thought.

I am as well stuck in the 80's. That's what my satelite radio is stationed to every moment. The Final Net hairspray also cost me a pretty penny. So did all the belts in every color imaginable that I wore with every outfit!
Sixteen Candles was by far my fav Molly Ringwald movie.
Love all the bands you have listed, but by far, Bryan Adams rocks as my favorite artist. Brings back all those highschool giddy moments, drunken moments, and just plain ole 80's moments. Isn't it amazing how you can hear a song from 20 years ago, and it brings you right back to where you were the first time you heard it??? Usually in one of those smoky bars that you needed fake I.D. for!!
Platinum Blonde (sp?)...are they Canadian? Can't be with the accents, right?
What about Cheap Trick??
Molly Ringwald , where is she now?
Luved her movies.
And the shoulder pads did make our waist look smaller.
Platinum Blonde!! How could I forget them! They are from Quebec or Ontario (the lead singer was born in England and moved here as a kid) Ok, they are in the top 6 and Age of Electric are out. Cheap Trick, unfortunately, not Canadian.
16 Candles ~ fav character Long Duck Dong. "Oh sexy girlfriend!"
Molly Ringwald was living in France with her husband (some French guy hehehe)for several years until they split up. She has been in couple movies in this century, including a hilarious cameo in "Not Another Teen Movie".
How could you leave the Bay City Rollers behind??? I am truly distraught.
-T
The Bay City Rollers were from Scotland. I did and do love them, but we can't claim them as Canadian.
April Wine and Supertramp??? One of them has to be Canadian, eh??
April Wine is, Supertramp is Australian I believe.
Man, I may have to make a top 20 list.
