Trying desperately to get the financial reports done for year-end at the place-where-I-worship. Did I mention they were due Jan. 15th? Things are not going well.
I can't seem to get the numbers to add up to the numbers I added up the last time I looked at the books. Clear? Yeah, I thought so. I don't understand where some of my totals came from {dear God, if I can't figure it out, we are in ter-ubble!} & I'm not getting the same totals today that I got last week. I'm thinking I'm going to have to scrap it all & start all over ... from Jan. 1st, 2008!
Oy Vey!
All I see when I blink my eyes is this:
& this damn song keeps running through me head.
Wine, anyone? Or should I say, whine?
I barely balance my own chequebook ~ I can't believe they put me in charge of this. It's... well, it's madness, I tells ya!

that is a strange thing to volunteer your time for.
i always wondered, in my church going days of youth, why anyone would volunteer to take care of all the collection plates. then I realized that they get to skip the sermon to count money. Money they couldn't keep, however.
good luck.
OMG! I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes!! I get that song in my head too...and now its there...thanks.
ah, Pamplemousse, we count the money after so there's no skipping any sermons here!
