Good News, Bad News ~ Rider Style

The Good ~ Jason Clermont was signed this week to the Riders. This Regina native has been coveted by the Green 'n' White for years, & is a fabulous edition to the roster. "Clermont, 30, spent his entire seven-year CFL career in B.C., winning rookie-of-the-year honours after a breakout 2002 season. He was twice chosen the most outstanding Canadian in the league, earned two selections to the West Division all-star team, and was chosen the best Canadian in the 2004 Grey Cup game."

The Bad ~ Richie Hall, the genius behind our amazing defence, has left us to become head coach of the Edmonton Eskimoes. I never thought I'd live to see the day where Richie would be anywhere but Regina. He played with the club from 88-91, winning the Tom Pate Award for outstanding community service in 1990, & has coached the defence since 1994. He has lived in Regina for 20 years.

I will miss you most of all.
