Hard To Say Goodbye

Last night, a very sweet & funny girl of 19 was killed in an accident here in Dodge. Details are sketchy, & I don't need/want to post them here anyway, but she hit a moose, which went through the windshield of the car.

I'm not going to pretend we were close friends. I'm not going to pretend our families were bosom buddies. However, I am still shocked & devasted by her loss. I've known her since she was 4, & watched from afar as she grew up to be a confident, smart, & motivated young woman. I couldn't help but be proud of all she had accomplished.

She touched many lives. She will be greatly missed. My sincere sympathies go to her family.

this is very sad news. And I'm not sure what to think about Tom Jones there over on the right screeching out Black Betty while I am trying to write a comment....aside from that I much prefer Nick Cave's version.

A friend's step-father also died because of a moose. He was on a motorcycle - he and his wife died.

okay, I had to close the window because Tom Jones completely wiped everything sympathetic I was going to say - followed by Lita Ford....ack.

I am very sorry to hear about this. 19. So freaking young....

Frenchie - you know you can just hit the pause button & shut the music off, right?

Let's just take the music off for a while, shall we?

Although, for the record, my Tommy doesn't screech.

Wilma you have such a way with words. This was a beautiful tribute to girl. She definitely touched many lives. My thoughts and prayers go to her family as well as well as boyfriend's family as this truly will be a hard time on them as well.

(that was me above. I spotted a typo and had to correct it...) well, I guess NOW I know to hit pause. I never said I was the smartest thing. Or maybe I did.

As I walked through the cemetery here in Montreal today, I gave a little shout out to the universe regarding the people who loved the girl who died... there are a number of fresh graves along my walk home, and they give me little pangs of sadness each time I see them.
