You Win Some, You Win Some

The Riders have won their last two games. Yay! I'm very pleased with them.

They killed Hamilton 38-11 on October 21. I almost felt bad for Hamilton. Almost.

Crandell replaced Joseph as quarterback 1/2 through the 2nd quarter. Printers was replaced again due to an injury. Is this guy fragile or what? Puffy said he must have a glass body & I agree. I hope they didn't lock him in at some exorbitant price cuz they sure haven't been getting their money's worth so far!

The Riders proved the last game vs. the Ti-Cats was an aberration, keeping the penalties to a minimum & playing a fairly clean game. That's what I like to see. No fuss, no muss, just got out on the field & get the job done.

Then, Edmonton. Du du DUH! What a game. Puffy left the room during the 3rd quarter saying "I just can't take it anymore!" It was at that point that I realized I had foolishly been watching the game without wearing my official Bobby Jurasin Rising Sun doo-rag & so raced upstairs to rectify the situation. Immediately after, Saskatchewan held the Eskimos at the 1 yard line for 3 downs to deny them a touchdown.

Coincidence? I think not.

That, boys & girls, was the turning point of the game. The Riders tied it up, forcing overtime where we prevailed with the final tally of 36-29.

I would like to point out that we achieved this victory using our backup quarterback & without 12 {count them, 12} players from our starting line-up. Imagine the trouncing that could have been!
