Shut The Front Door

I like this saying, and have to thank Black Betty for introducing me to it. This is a very polite way to say something that is not very polite at all.

• If someone told you some piece of gossip that you felt was just too good to be true, you might respond with "Shut the front door!"
• If someone was insulting you and you'd had enough, you may just say "Shut the front door".
• If someone entered your house and just wandered in, you would call out "Shut the front door" ~ okay, that's silly and has nothing to do with anything, but it made me laugh and it's my blog so live with it.

Just think about it for a minute, and you'll know what's being replaced.
