Piety... Or Best Reasonable Facsimile

I've been gradually, steadily getting more involved in the inner workings of the place where I worship. It's been a slow process ~ kinda like quicksand ~ where you look around one day and realize "What the heck? How did I get here? I'm doing services now?"

Yes, it has come to that. We, as a church, have sunk so low that Wilma is leading the service this Sunday for the 3rd time. And if that wasn't enough of a joke, here's the punch line. I'm also giving the blessing at the Graduation Banquet tomorrow. As per request from the graduating class. I only know 2 of them!

So does this mean I have to stop swearing? I already have given up so much ~ living in sin, partying past 2 am, being mean to Conrad & Bronco Bill ~ haven't I done enough? Man, I guess I better start being a nicer person.

Anyway, just look out, it's only a matter of time before the 4 horsemen make their way across the prairies. Say your prayers and do your penance so you don't get caught short!
