The Death Bed Moment. It is one of my better ideas. Ever freak out about something that was completely not worth it? Ever rant and rave about things or people or events that, in hindsight, didn't deserve the time and effort it took? Well, I like to judge all things by the "Death Bed Moment". If you had 5 minutes to live, if you were LITERALLY on your death bed, would the thing that you are obsessing about really be what was on your mind? Would you give it a second thought? If it isn't, then it is NOT a Death Bed Moment and not worth the time it takes to draw a breath to begin the rant and you should just let it go.
Believe me, this way of thinking will save your sanity. IF you remember to do it.

You kill me! I just laughed out loud and snorted - and I'm at work - not "professional".
Um, actually, it's a king size.
Yeah well, it's kinda necessary. Puffy Kracker and I need the room. We're not as svelte as we used to be.
This is your not much older but much wiser sister.
I must say I laughed out loud and decided I will just read your blog to destress myself whenever I have a King size death bed moment. Tell Puffy Kracker and El Diablo hello from me, Bild, Goo and Skater Punk.
Whoopi,
Glad you like it. I try to please. Conrad, Bronco B. Puffy Kracker and I are headed to Cabri tomorrow! I feel so famous!
Hi Wilma! I found your blog via Blue. That is a wonderful explanation of the "death bed moment"......really made me think!
Jeannie from Scotland :0)
ps my google identity is Marvin the Dog as it is my Dog's Blog! No, I am not crazy......I hope!
Welcome Jeannie. I hope you enjoy your visits to DBM.
Today I re-read Death Bed.
Because,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
It's/Whats constantly on my mind...
Didn't actually help me, as
I love the "Death Bed Moment" explanation. Simple but a true reminder not to sweat the small stuff. I will try to incorporate this thinking the next time I am feeling it...maybe later today:)
Well, that pretty much cancels out most of the things I tend to worry about, LOL!
It's kind of like the book 'Don't Sweat The Small Stuff... And It's All Small Stuff', only up a few notches.
I'm now a new fan of your blog and am adding you to my blogroll, so you should be famous, like really soon... Or maybe Not.
Welcome to DBM Snooty! I've always wanted to be famous...
