Is It Worth It?

As of January 1st, 2007 current time:
  • 44 Canadian soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan during "Operation Enduring Freedom" Source: Afghanistan Casualties
  • 3,000 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq & 22,032 soldiers have been wounded as a result of "Operation Iraqi Freedom" since the March 2003 invasion. Source: Iraq Coalition Casualties

    No, I don't want war, period.

    I think it's good & necessary to periodically remind ourselves how many soldiers have given up their lives & their livelihood to fight the wars currently taking place around the world.

    I found the numbers shocking, & much higher than I thought. And I didn't even post the losses from other countries around the world.

    Hopefully, the Freedom Operations will achieve their objectives sooner rather than later, & the fighting forces will be able to come home to safety.
