I have some favourite actresses whose work I always try to see. Unfortunately, I don’t think these women are being utilized to their full potential. Maybe they work as much as they want? Maybe they are busy with personal lives & projects? I don’t know. I do know that they should be getting bigger & better roles than they appear in right now.
So here they are, in no particular order:
6. Kristin Davis ~ Charlotte from “Sex & the City”. Beautiful woman, great actress, typecast to our detriment.
5. Diane Lane ~ have lurved her since 198? when I saw her in her first movie role “A Little Romance” with Sir Lawrence Olivier.
4. Janeane Garofalo ~ amazing comic actress
3. Jane Lynch ~ boss from “40 Year Old Virgin”. This woman is hysterical! She can ad-lib with the best.
2. Winona Ryder ~ 80’s queen, not hired very often since the shoplifting fiasco. Come on, studio heads, she’s paid her dues!
1. Phoebe Cates ~ I know she’s virtually retired from film, but this lovely & talented actress should have gotten a whole lot more roles than she did. At least she found Kevin Kline {better prize than any movie role IMHO}
