Had our Splurge club meeting last night. Enjoyed the punch A LOT ~ in fact, a little too much ~ & was hurting this morning at 8:24 am when I awoke with a slight headache, dry mouth & dizziness.
Now, as the Senior Splurge Member {& I mean this literally, as it was pointed out to me several times during the course of the evening that I was the oldest, by a long shot ~ okay, 4 years} I should be using my many, MANY years & vast amounts of experience with overimbibing to know better than to drink several glasses of punch & two shots the night before I plan to get up early & do physical labour.
But, I guess it's true what they say "You can't teach an old dog new tricks".
I need to drink a bucket of water & take a nap.
