As much as I have tried to deny it over the last few days, I must admit that the winter season is truly & officially upon us. We've got the snow; we've had a tremendous cold spell; we've had the icy streets; we've got the Christmas carols on the radio & the Christmas cartoons on the TV.
I am again harried, overwhelmed, rushed, overworked, overextended, & exhausted.
Well, it is December after all.
Once again, I am going through my to-do list item by item, trying to eliminate those things that I absolutely, positively can get away with not doing in order to maintain some semblance of sanity.
'Tis the season.... of mental breakdowns.
Sounds like you haven't yet come to the point, where I am, of just not giving a hoot about all the stuff I used to do to prepare for Christmas: the baking of treats, the shopping, the planning of special meals, travel, etc.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm just doing exactly what I feel like doing and not more than one or two things more. It really relieves the pressure. Why, I might even enjoy Christmas this year!
