Virgins & Queens & Fights, Oh My!

It's been quite the summer here at Chez Wilma. At the end of June, Puffy, FancyPants & moi dropped in on the Con's for a "quick" pop-in visit & left some 10 hours later ~ full of good food & completely sated with wine, mojitos & Limoncello.

Did I mention the rather large bag filled to the brim with movies & books?

I've worked my way through all the books but one, & now {since the shifts at work have staggered off to almost nothing} have all the time in the world to enjoy the films. So far, I've devoured 'Pride and Prejudice', 'Elizabeth - The Golden Age', 'Elizabeth - The Virgin Queen', 'Things We Lost in the Fire', 'Jane Erye'{the PBS version from 2006}, 'Almost Famous', 'Miss Potter', & 'Transamerica'.

I can honestly say that I've enjoyed them all. I can honestly say that I haven't cried so much in a ling long time. I, who used to work at the Dodge Theatre & the local store where you rent movies, who used to watch EVERY movie that was released, have missed much in the last few years.

It's an oversight I intend to rectify, thanx to the generous lending policy of a certain someone. T2, you rawk!
