It's Prankalicious!

Well, you caught me. I'm a bit of a prankster. There is nothing like a good prank to make me laugh & laugh & laugh until I stop. With Halloween coming up, I'm feeling all nostalgic about prankin'. Yup. Prankin'.

I've been involved in some stellar pranks in my day ~ dare I say "legen - wait for it - DARY"? There was The Stalker, & The Parking Attendant Seduction, & The Abduction of Robert Ckicken, & A 3AM Kidnapping Gone Awry. Ah, memories.

With TheatreOne only a few days away, the longest sustainable prank is close at hand. Every festival, stuff & things are donated & sold at silent auction as a fundraiser. Sometimes, these things are awesome! {basket of wine, glasses & chocolates, art, decorative fountains} Sometimes, these things are slightly less than awesome. {used BBQ utensils, stack of magazines, dolls}. Sometimes, one finds one's name on an item that one was quite unaware they wanted. As a result, I've brought home home-made birthday cards, Tupperware, home-made purse, & a Christmas oven mitt that I re-gifted to one lucky friend of mine {you're more than welcome, FancyPants!}.

It's a fun past time, running out to the tables during every intermission, checking for your name & scribbling someone else's underneath it before dashing outside for a smoke & some stimulating conversation. It's a race against time, attempting to stealthily bid for someone else without them seeing or knowing it's you doing it. It's a waiting game; a game of chance, risk, & strategy as you plot out whether you have enough time for a potty break & bidding before the auction ends. It's a game of surprise ~ you never know just what you're going to end up with in the end.

I grumble a lot about the things I end up paying for. I complain that drinks are owed. I threaten retaliation. I roll my eyes as I show Puffy my "prizes" that I come home with.

Secretly, I lurve it. It's what the Kool Kids are doing. & I'm thrilled to be included.

Plus, it's a donation to a worthy charity. What's not to like?
